Miracles in Dallas – 100X Missions Gets a Huge Boost from BOSS Event 2010

(Dallas) – Carrie Wilkerson, the Barefoot Executive, had a feeling something special was going to happen inside the Crowne Plaza Ballroom just outside of Dallas. Carrie was leading a unique gathering of professionals networking and sharing their small business success ideas. She planned every last detail—from the dynamic speakers to the sandwiches served for lunch. Changing the world did not appear on the agenda.
Then it happened. God showed up.
An auction was held to raise money for 100X Missions, a non-profit organization that cares for orphans around the world. Carrie told the crowd that her goal was to raise $10,000. 30-minutes later, more than $60,000 was raised, enough to help 120 orphans with medical supplies, education, food, and shelter for an entire year.
What the crowd didn’t know was that Carrie had gathered a small group of people to pray before the auction was held. She didn’t ask for $60,000. She asked for God’s presence in that grand ballroom. The results do not surprise the faithful. “The electricity in the room was unmistakable,” said Jim Palmer, who attended the event. “Everyone could feel it. I have never seen so many people so happy to give.” Another attendee, Bryan Binkholder, was equally moved. “Simply amazing,” he said. “Each presenter spoke about how God had changed their lives. I’m blessed and inspired to have Carrie Wilkerson in my life.
100% of the money raised at BOSS Event 2010 will go to 100X Missions which exists to glorify God through the care of orphans and the sharing of the good news of Christ around the world.
